The WSU women won their first Pac-12 game yesterday, beating Arizona State 77-65 to earn a split of their opening homestand. ... 

In Pac-12 basketball news ... Colorado fell to 0-2 in Pac-12 play after losing, 65-56, at Arizona State. The Sun Devils improved to 2-0 and are now 13-2. ... Oregon and Oregon State met yesterday afternoon to open their Pac-12 season, and the Ducks emerged with a 79-66 win. ... Arizona is expecting to face some hostile fans in Oregon this weekend with its unbeaten streak on the line. The Wildcats need  to improve their 3-point defense. ... Utah found some confidence in the desert despite not winning there. ... 

In Pac-12 football news ... Several reports Sunday indicated that Oregon coach Chip Kelly will, somewhat surprisingly, remain Oregon coach Chip Kelly.
