West Coast Conference coaches, in their preseason poll, selected Brigham Young as the team to beat during the 2012-13 season. Right behind BYU in the poll was eight-time conference champion Gonzaga. The teams will meet in 20 minutes at McCarthey Athletic Center. BYU is 3-0 in conference and has won nine consecutive games. GU is 3-1 in the WCC with a loss last week at Saint Mary's, which is tied with BYU for first place. BYU and Gonzaga split WCC games last season. BYU then defeated Gonzaga at the WCC tournament.
