Did anything happen yesterday?

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN — If you picked yesterday to stay in bed all day with your phone, television and Internet turned off, you've got a lot of catching up to do. You're also our target audience this morning. Sort of. Read on.

First, a reminder that we'll chat live today at 1 p.m. … Starting in our corner of the world, we link you to our game story from WSU's win over Utah last night, along with a pair of blog posts with more postgame content. … Howie Stalwick covered the game for the Kitsap Sun and filed this story. … Here's the AP story. … Here are the stories from the Utah perspective. … There was also football news yesterday for WSU, as the Arizona Daily Star reported that running back Daniel Jenkins will transfer to WSU for his final season. He's earned his degree already, accoridng to the story, which means he'll be eligible immediately. … The Cougars' next opponent, Colorado, lost 64-54 at Washington last night and fell to 1-4 in Pac-12 play.

Around the Pac-12 … OK, so this isn't Pac-12-related, but since everyone's talking about it, we might as well link to it, too. It has been revealed through a very lengthy, rambling Deadspin report that Manti Te'o, as you know by now, was apparently in an online relationship with a girlfriend who didn't exist, meaning that several in-depth stories written about their relationship — and her (fake) death — were the result of writers (and everyone else) being duped. Wild, wild stuff. … The biggest story in the college football world yesterday should have been the departure of Chip Kelly to become coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, just days after it was reported that he was staying at Oregon. … In basketball action today: UCLA and its clutch veterans host Oregon State (6 p.m., ESPNU), and USC will play its first game under interim coach Bob Cantu against Oregon. … Carrick Felix is getting some headlines in advance of Arizona State's big game against Arizona on Saturday. … Stanford can't afford a loss to California on Saturday.

Check back at 1 p.m. for our live chat. There might be pie.
