Nachbaur was pleased with the Chiefs' energy in the first period, but he said Spokane must change its offensive strategy.
"I thought we played hard and had enough chances to build a big lead," Nachbaur said. "But we took too long. We had no quick releases. We're overhanding pucks and allowing the goalie to set up, and that's what happens when you struggle."

"We gotta take it one game at a time," Nachbaur said. "Nobody's gonna get us out of this. It's the guys inside the locker room right now who have to dig deep in the well to find it, to be more competitive to score and be more competitive to keep (opponents) out of the net."
