Power-play goals put Chiefs in 2-0 hole

Ty Rattie and Nicolas Petan have scored power-play goals Friday night to give the Portland Winterhawks a 2-0 lead over the Spokane Chiefs after one period at the Arena. Portland has been on the power play five times, Spokane none. Petan's goal, his 32nd of the season, came as Spokane was killing off a 5-on-3 power play. Spokane's Mike Aviani has been whistled for three penalties. Portland has outshot Spokane 19-7.
