Rare look at Medicine Hat
The Spokane Chiefs are 25 minutes away from their only matchup of the 2012-13 Western Hockey League season against the Medicine Hat Tigers. Medicine Hat hasn't played at the Arena since Dec. 3, 2010. The Tigers are hovering around .500, but they've won seven of their last 10 games. Their road record (8-15-2-1) has held them back, but they won Friday night at Tri-City. The Tigers feature three of the league's top 13 scorers in Curtis Valk (63 points), Elgin Pearce (59) and Hunter Shinkaruk (58). Pearce played three seasons with the Kootenay Ice.
