Proft scores twice in second period

Carter Proft, named earlier in the night as the Chiefs' Players Player of the Year, scored twice in the second period Friday to increase Spokane's lead to 3-0 over the Tri-City Americans. Proft registered his first multigoal game of the season. He has 11 goals for the season, but five have come in the last eight games. The Chiefs are 20 minutes away from clinching the conference's No. 4 seed to the playoffs.
