Poor shooting dooms GU in NCAA opener

Gonzaga's stay at the NCAA tournament was short. The Bulldogs stuggled with their field-goal shooting and fell to Iowa State 72-60 in an opener Saturday afternoon at McCarthey Athletic Center. Gonzaga finished the season 27-6, with five losses coming when the Bulldogs shot 33 percent or less from the floor. Iowa State will play Georgia on Monday night at McCarthey for a berth to next weekend's Sweet 16 game at the Arena. Read story See big picture gallery
