Spring practice continues today


FROM PULLMAN — The blog will be back and running in earnest later today, as Washington State takes the field for its third practice of the spring. We'll be there this time. Read on.

Yes, with Gonzaga out of the tournament, we're back in Pullman and will be at each of WSU's spring practices the rest of the way, barring unforeseen circumstances. … The WSU baseball team completed a 4-game sweep of Brown yesterday with a 3-1 victory. … Western Washington's basketball team, which features former Cougar John Allen, is gunning for its second consecutive Division II national championship.

Around the Pac-12 … When Arizona plays Ohio State in the Sweet 16 this week, two friends will be pitted against each other in the coaching box (and Sean Miller would do well to stay inside it this time). … Allen Crabbe's NBA decision probably won't come until later next month. … Ben Howland bid farewell to UCLA with a press conference today. … Lorenzo Romar says UCLA hasn't contacted him about the job, and that he's not interested, anyway. … Previewing Oregon's spring football practice. … Colorado's football team wants to cut down on its turnovers. … Utah's football team appears to have a new face at center.
