Wooden Award watching six from Pac-12

From Pullman -- The prestigious John R. Wooden Award is presented to the best player in college basketball at the end of the season. But the Los Angeles Athletic Club, who presents the award, has released the names of 50 players it considers to be early contenders. While there are no Washington State players on the list, six of the Cougars' Pac-12 opponents are mentioned. 

They are:

  • G Jordan Adams -- UCLA
  • G/F Kyle Anderson -- UCLA
  • G Jahii Carson -- ASU
  • G Spencer Dinwiddie -- Colorado
  • F Aaron Gordon -- Arizona
  • F Dwight Powell -- Stanford
