Wednesday WSU football practice

From Pullman -- It was a bounce back day for the WSU offense, which struggled in the passing game during Tuesday's practice. There were no such issues on Wednesday, with quarterbacks Connor Halliday and Austin Apodaca combing to go 14 of 15 through the air against the scout team defense. The first team defense has struggled lately -- although that has had more to do with excellent play of late from scout team quarterback Tyler Bruggman -- but acquitted itself well on Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore BUCK Kache Palacio had the highlight of the day near the end of practice, gathering a tipped pass near the line of scrimmage and running straight into the end zone, capping the play by dunking the ball over the goal post.

Making an appearance at practice was safety Bennet Bontemps. The senior hasn't been at practice in months, but was at Martin Stadium in shorts on Wednesday. He did not participate in any drills.
