Eastern and Big Sky game day links

Will the Eagles finally unleash their pass rush in today's Homecoming game at North Dakota? Will quarterback Vernon Adams avoid cramping in the warmth of the Alerus Center? Will I ever get a better schnitzel than the one I ate last night at the Blue Moose Restaurant across the river in Minnesota? The first two questions should be answered today when the Eagles play their first game in the state of North Dakota. Here's my preview story, plus another from the local Grand Forks Herald on UND's struggles of late. Want more? Here's a game preview - and much more - from Dave Cook of the Eastern athletic department.

Elsewhere, Southern Utah - Eastern's Homecoming opponent next week - has its own Homecoming game, against Portland State in a big game for both teams. ... Yet another Homecoming game, this one at UC-Davis, which hosts Montana. ... Idaho State is getting a big season from a former walk-on as the Bengals face Northern Colorado today. ... Cal Poly will start its third different QB this season as the Mustangs face Weber State.
