Day after blowout links

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN -- After spending the last two Sunday mornings in airport terminals, I'm spending this one in the comfort of my own apartment. Washington State will spend it, perhaps, reflecting on its thumping of Southern Utah yesterday. We have links to our coverage of said blowout, so read on.

...

--- Here's our (shortened due to space constraints) game story in today's newspaper, focusing on the importance of WSU winning big.

--- Here's our game notebook, leading with Austin Apodaca's debut at quarterback.

--- Here are our keys to the game, as well as the scoring summary.

--- On the blog, we had our usual tale of the tape, along with a whole bunch of video (there are seven of them, so I'll just direct you to scroll down and roll through 'em), WSU's game notes, the official game book, and a recap of our pregame chat and in-game updates.

--- Here are a few quotes from Leach all typed out.

--- John Blanchette has this column about WSU taking care of business.

--- The S-R's Tyler Tjomsland (who recently joined Twitter) took a whole bunch of photos that are worth your time to look at.

--- Bud Withers also focuses on the nature of the victory in his column, and kicks in a notebook.

--- Howie Stalwick writes for Sportspress Northwest that WSU was all smiles afterward.

Around the Pac-12 ...

UCLA 41, Nebraska 21 -- The Bruins fell behind before reeling off 38 unanswered points to cruise to an emotional victory. This could be a special UCLA team.

Stanford 34, Army 20 -- The Cardinal started shaky, but shook it off and wound up winning fairly easily.

USC 35, Boston College 7 -- USC bounced back offensively and won this one going away. But it's a long season.

Oregon 59, Tennessee 14 -- This blowout had the Ducks' students chanting about wanting Alabama. Can't blame them.

Washington 34, Illinois 24 -- The Huskies racked up a ton of yards, but still had trouble putting the Illini away.

Ohio State 52, California 34 -- Ohio State played its backup quarterback, and that was more than enough to zoom past the Golden Bears.

Oregon State 51, Utah 48 (OT) -- This might have been a season-saving win for the Beavers, who had to watch as running back Storm Woods was carted off the field. It was a heartbreaking loss for the Utes.

Arizona State 32, Wisconsin 30 -- You're going to hear about this game's finish a lot in the coming days.

Arizona 38, UTSA 13 -- The Wildcats stayed undefeated against their schedule of cupcakes.

Also: Colorado players spent Saturday helping first responders dealing with the flooding in Boulder. CU's game against Fresno State was postponed.

All for now.
