Tyler Harvey isn’t looking back

Eastern Washington guard Tyler Harvey is getting plenty of positive reinforcement as he moves toward a professional career.

According to EWU coach Jim Hayford, an assessment of Harvey's readiness, provided by the NBA's Undergraduate Advisory Council, was good news for Harvey.

"He will proceed" with his plans to enter the NBA draft, Hayford said Friday.

Harvey, who announced last week that he would pursue a pro career, led the nation with a 23.1 scoring average while drawing attention for his 3-point shooting. Harvey is projected to be drafted anywhere from early in the second round to not at all.

According to NCAA rules, Harvey has until Sunday to withdraw his application for the June 25 draft.

Meanwhile, NBA.com offered this story on Harvey, while ESPN Insider (subscription required) takes a look at Harvey's strengths and weaknesses>
