SportsLink

Morning links: Let’s have a chat

It's Wednesday and it's football season. That mean we'll be chatting about WSU on SportsLink at 11 a.m.

But first, here are some links to tide you over.

When you're sitting in your air conditioned homes and offices today, shedding a tear for the football players trying to survive in Lewiston's oppressive heat, take a moment to think about the valiant nutritionists who keep them hydrated. They're the subject of our story in today's paper.  Yesterday was pretty hot, too. But we braved the heat to bring you a practice report and videos of Mike Leach, Clay McGuire, Gunnar Eklund, Marcellus Pippins and Gerard Wicks.

-- Washington safety Budda Baker took snaps on offense.

-- Whoever starts at safety for Arizona has some big cleats to fill.

-- Arizona State is expecting big things from tight end Kody Kohl.

-- A former fullback has led the Buffaloes in rushing for three consecutive years.

-- Still no update on Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams.

-- A couple seniors will lead the way at Oregon State.

-- Jon Wilner previews Stanford's football camp.

-- The Bruins aren't ready to name a starting quarterback.

-- Tre Madden looks like the next star USC running back.

-- Joe Williams is getting a second chance at Utah.
