Morning links: Scrimmage today

The Washington State football team has a scrimmage scheduled today for 3:30 p.m.

Now, I want to warn anyone planning to attend that the weather quality in Pullman is very poor right now because of nearby fires. There is so much smoke in the air that yesterday I immediately began coughing after leaving my gym. If the air is still thick with smoke in the early afternoon, it would not shock me to see the Cougars move practice inside the "bubble" adjacent to Bailey-Brayton Field, like they did last season. That's not a very big facility, and I'm not sure if the team would still scrimmage or how easily it could accommodate the public.

I don't say that to ward off anyone from making the trip – in all likelihood the team will still scrimmage in Martin Stadium as scheduled. But if things get a little hairy today, or you don't see the team warming up at Rogers Field like you expected, the haze over Pullman is probably why.

Now that we've got the heavy stuff out of the way, here are some links.
