Morning links: Washington leaves Pullman with a pair of splits

The Cougars had a good game plan to take advantage of UW's lack of size and played well offensively. But Washington State didn't account Andrew Andrews' sensational day.

Andrews had 35 points including a deep 3-pointer to win the game. Here we have our story for the paper, final stats and postgame video of Ernie Kent and players. SportsPressNW has a story and here are a couple stories from the UW perspective.

That game was preceded by the WSU women's matchup against UW, which was basically a disaster.

Now for the links…

-- Klay Thompson is developing some brand buzz.

-- While the basketball teams were playing yesterday, Xavier Cooper ran the fastest time of any interior defensive lineman at the NFL combine.

-- Rob Rang wrote that Cooper's performance could have him rocketing up draft boards.

-- Oregon likely played its way into the NCAA tournament field with an upset of No. 9 Utah.

-- Arizona State improved to .500 in Pac-12 play by rallying to beat USC. The Trojans were without a couple players that were sent home.
