Eastern still No. 19 in Mid-Major rankings
Eastern is ranked 19th in the College Insider Mid-Major poll released Tuesday. That's just where the Eagles sat last week, before knocking off Weber State and Idaho State last weekend at Reese Court.
At the same time, Eastern fell to 87th in the Ratings Percentage Index - a drop of 40 spots from the week before. The RPI is a key component in the NCAA Tournament selection committee's decision-making process, and sometimes reflects strength of schedule more than wins and losses.
In the Sagarin ratings published by USA Today, Eastern is ranked 72nd.
