Morning links: WSU wraps up a great weekend

The Washington State football team's 45-38 win at Oregon was just the first of a few big victories for the Cougars.

Their mojo continued in emphatic fashion on Sunday as the WSU soccer team shut out Colorado on the road and the volleyball team swept No. 5 Arizona State.

Still, the football team's win is what we'll be talking to Mike Leach and some players about at today's weekly press conference. In the paper today I've got a story about the team's never-ending quest pursuit a complete game. On the blog I have a day-after post looking back at the win.

The win over the Ducks changed the national media's perception of what WSU can accomplish this season – a couple ESPN writers included the Cougars in their latest bowl projections (and this writer is hoping McMurphy, rather than Schlabach, is correct).

Need some game highlights? CougCenter has you covered.

In some sad Pac-12 news, Steve Sarkisian is taking a leave of absence from USC because his long-running alcohol problem is affecting his ability to coach, not just his mental health. Hopefully some personal time does him good.
