Morning links: Falk tunes out the fame

Luke Falk doesn't care much for the trappings of fame, but he'll always make time for his younger fans.

That's the thrust of our story in today's paper. Also in the print edition are my Pac-12 picks. Online we've got a transcript from yesterday's live chat, another story about WSU's strength and conditioning, and post-practice videos of Mike Leach, Alex Grinch and Clay McGuire. We also have a blog post with the next that Dom Williams has caught the eye of a certain award's committee.

The Seattle Times held a live chat with basketball coach Ernie Kent and Stefanie Loh has a good profile of wide receiver Gabe Marks. John Feinstein at the Washington Post wrote about Mike Leach today. And David Ubben of Sports on Earth wrote about Falk.

The Cardinal defense has yielded little this year. … Aziz Shittu is one of many Cardinal defensive linemen the Cougars will have to watch out for. … The Utes don't like Oregon stepping into their recruiting turf. … Star Utah running back Devontae Booker is about to face a defense coached by the guys he used to see in the locker room. … And California's DeVante Wilson is about to face his former team. … Washington's offensive coordinator knows that criticism is part of the job description.
