The Mystics selected Lia Galdeira with the 19th pick, making her the first Washington State women's basketball player selected in the WNBA draft.

Galdeira was a three-time All-Pac-12 player at WSU. As a junior in 2015 she scored 20 points per game, second in the conference, and was fifth nationally with 105 steals, second most in school history. She also led the team with 83 assists. Galdeira left WSU after her junior season to pursue professional opportunities.

Despite playing just three seasons at WSU, Galdeira ranks second in the school record books for scoring (1,710 points), 3-pointers made (160), field goals made (621), and steals (271).
