Morning links: UCLA enters the win column

With No. 7 Arizona in town, the Bruins were in real danger of an 0-3 start to Pac-12 play.

But Bryce Alford, who hit two buzzer beaters to force overtimes against Washington last weekend, nailed another to down the Wildcats and get UCLA its first conference win. Sean Miller unapologetically blunt when speaking about his team's defense.

Oregon gave California its first conference loss yesterday, while Stanford did the same to Oregon State. Both games are covered in our Pac-12 roundup.

Washington State hosts Washington at noon tomorrow. He's a first look at the opponent. Ernie Kent and some players also spoke about the game.

The OSU football team has a new defensive coordinator. John Canzano approves of the hire.
