WCC Men's Basketball

BYU Cougars (12-5, 3-1)

at Gonzaga Bulldogs (13-3, 5-0)

Thursday, Jan. 14, 6 p.m. | McCarthey Athletic Center, Spokane

Watch: ESPN2

Outlook: The Zags have won 45 of their last 46 WCC home games. That one loss was against BYU in last year’s regular-season finale so the Zags should come in fully motivated. So should the Cougars, who need a marquee win to bolster their NCAA resume. It’s up to the defenses to try to slow this contest between the WCC’s top two scoring teams. GU operates primarily through Kyle Wiltjer and Domantas Sabonis. BYU has 3-point prowess – top 26 nationally in 3s made (9.4) and percentage (39.6), Utah State transfer Kyle Davis inside and do-it-all point guard Kyle Collinsworth (14.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 2.1 steals).Jim Meehan
