Spokane Shadow join women’s Northwest Premier League

The Spokane Shadow soccer club announced Thursday they will join the newly-formed Northwest Premier League, a statewide women's soccer league that will play during the summer.

The Shadow are the third team to join the NWPL. The Olympic Force, who play out of Bremerton, and Tacoma's South Sound FC were previously announced as founding members.

The NWPL, created by members of the Evergreen Premier League (EPLWA), kicks off this summer with a six-team league. The three announced NWPL sides are also members of the EPLWA.

Over the first two seasons of the EPLWA the Shadow were leaders in attendance, hosting the league's three highest attended games, and in the standings, capturing both championships.

The Shadow's NWPL side, according to the club, will feature a mix of current and recent collegiate players.
