EWU falls to Idaho, the morning after

It's morning in Reno, Nevada, where Eastern Washington fans basketball are waking up the reality of the Eagles' 77-73 loss to Idaho in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Conference Tournament. The Eagles will play again - but they won't be returning to the NCAAs. Here's my game story, along with a notebook from Sean Kramer. Meanwhile, Vince Grippi puts the Idaho win in perspective in his morning blog. ... There's more: despite going 17-15 in a one-bid conference, Eastern isn't done playing basketball. Coach Jim Hayford announced that the Eagles will play as postseason game next week - details to come, he said. Meanwhile, Hayford was mentioned in this story as a possible candidate for the job at San Francisco.
