Zags power past Bruins, into Elite Eight

I caught Mark Few returning from post-game media session in a nearly empty hallway after Gonzaga's 74-62 win over UCLA and asked him a couple of questions before a few more reporters arrived. Few explained what he imparted during a timeout when the Bruins had...

Zags’ second-half surge was good sign for young fans.

This run is different, but just as successful for Zags

A GRIP ON SPORTS • There was something magical about Gonzaga's run to the Elite Eight in 1999. Men: The second-seeded Zags topped No. 7 Iowa on Sunday to earn a spot in the NCAA tournament’s Sweet 16 for the first time since 2009. With Kyle Wiltjer scoring 24 points and Domantas Sabonis adding 18, Gonzaga rolled to an 87-68 victory in Seattle. Above, the Bulldogs revel in the game’s final seconds. Coming up: The Zags (34-2) move on to Houston, where they will face UCLA (22-13) on Friday at 4:15 p.m. (Colin Mulvany)

Zags' victory helps shed a lot of weight
