EWU’s Brown set to step in for Taiwan

Eastern Washington’s true freshman Mario Brown is experiencing all kinds of different emotions as he prepares to fill in for injured teammate Taiwan Jones as the Eagles’ starting running back in Friday’s FCS semifinal-round playoff matchup against Villanova at Roos Field.

Shock sign DL Brown

Nekos Brown is the newest member of the Spokane Shock. The former Virginia Tech defensive lineman had short stints with the Washington Redskins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this year.

Brown picked in NBADL draft

Ex-Zag Ira Brown was drafted by Austin in the fourth round of NBA Development League draft. More here. The Toros have been in the news for their selection of Nancy Lieberman as head coach.

Brown played on a Spokane All-Star team, scoring 18 points and grabbing six boards, in a four-point loss to No. 5 North Idaho College earlier this week.

 

Eagles move Brown to defense

Brynsen Brown, a three-year letterwinner as a wide receiver on Eastern Washington University’s football team, has been moved to the Eagles’ defensive line.

 

I didn’t get a chance to talk to Brown about the position change, but Eastern coach Beau Baldwin said he is catching on quickly.
