Media day today and I put together a notebook, with the first item an update on Steven Gray’s back, that will run in Tuesday’s S-R.

Gray was in good spirits after Monday’s practice (he was a spectator, not a participant), but he’s still dealing with a tender back. If I had to guess, I’d say he doesn’t play in Wednesday’s game against Xavier but he does have youthful healing powers that I didn’t have when I had back problems!

The best pain reliever for Gray was witnessing Gonzaga pull out a victory over Baylor on Saturday. “To have so many different guys step up and gut out a win was huge for this team,” Gray said.
