You can be sure rebounding drills will be fairly high on the coaching staff's practice script. This isn't a surprise. The list of preseason worries for Gonzaga centered on three things: Interior depth, defense and rebounding, and that list remains intact through the season's first eight games.

Multiple recruiting websites are reporting that Cougars commit Jordan Rose no longer has a scholarship offer from coach Mike Leach following an undisclosed incident off the field. Rose, who attends 1A Freeman High School outside of Spokane, has been a verbal commit to Washington State since August. The 6-foot-6 senior was all-league on both the offensive and defensive lines last season, and was expected to play offensive tackle for the Cougars.
With Washington State set to lose both of its scholarship kickers after the 2013 season — Andrew Furney and Mike Bowlin are both seniors — it stands to reason that coach Mike Leach might want to offer a kicker a spot in his 2014 recruiting class.
And as recruiting maven Braulio Perez reported yesterday, Tristan Vizcaino, a kicker from La Verne, Calif., has given a verbal commitment to sign with WSU. That's now eight known commitments in WSU's 2014 class, according to Scout.com.
Reports yesterday indicate that Washington State picked up its seventh oral commitment for the class of 2014, as cornerback Kevin Griffin of De La Salle High School in Concord, Calif., told Braulio Perez that he's committed to WSU.
