From Pullman — Rain, rain, go away. Today's torrent drove reporters and athletic support staff into the upper bleachers to seek refuge beneath the overhang. Refuge was not to be found. I could go on about the weather but then we'd both be in a stormy mood.

FROM PULLMAN — Saw a funny tweet from a WSU athlete yesterday. It came from women's basketball player Sage Romberg, who said: “Whoa everyone and their mothers are in Pullman!” In case you didn't know, it's Mom's Weekend here. But there are other things going on, too, such as another football scrimmage this morning. Read on.
FROM PULLMAN -- Washington State is 60 percent of the way through its spring football practice schedule. We got 100 percent of the way through these links this morning. Oops. Already used that joke, and it wasn't funny the first time. Moving on.
