Too Many Cooks

Soda bread or syllabub, boxty or black pudding

Happy (early) St. Patrick’s Day!

In honor of the holiday, The Spokesman-Review Food section will be giving away half-dozen Irish-themed cookbooks.

To enter to win, tell us – in 250 words or less – about your most favorite Irish culinary experience.

Maybe it was the first time you made syllabub or soda bread, boxty or barmbrack. Or, perhaps your fondest memory is of a particular dish at an Irish pub in Spokane or, better yet, Dublin. Have you enjoyed colcannon in County Clare or black pudding at a bed and breakfast in Blarney? Let us know what it was like and why is stands out in your memory.

Send your submissions to Spokesman-Review Food Editor Adriana Janovich at adrianaj@spokesman.com or P.O. Box 2160, Spokane, WA 99210. Email is preferred.

The deadline to enter is March 9.
