Tea time

Author Jeff Koehler will read from his works, including “Darjeeling: The Colorful History and Precarious Fate of the World’s Greatest Tea,” Tuesday night at his alma mater.

Koehler is a 1991 graduate of Gonzaga University, where he’s part of the 2016-2017 Visiting Writers Series. His reading starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Cataldo Hall Globe Room at GU, 502 E. Boone Ave. Admission is free.

Koehler, who’s lived in Spain since 1996, is the author of La Paella,” “Spain,” “Rice Pasta Couscous” and “Morocco.” His latest, “Darjeeling,” won the 2016 International Association of Culinary Professionals Award for Literary Food Writing. He lives in Barcelona and Menorca, Spain.
