Getting There

Honda designs car for cyclists

Honda will unveil a concept car at next week's Frankfurt Motor Show that's aimed at people who ride bikes.

As strange as that may sound - a car for bikes?!? - it's actually a pretty cool vehicle. It's called the Civic Tourer Active Life.

Two bikes can fit inside the car when the back seats are folded down and thanks to innovative placement of the fuel tank, as AutoBlog mentions.

A retractable arm extends from the car's trunk for working on a bike, and there's also an air pump in the car, both of which are quite handy and cool.

The roof box is designed for other bike accessories.

While I'm not a big fan of how the car looks, I am a Honda admirer (I own a Fit), a cyclist and someone who likes when automakers try new things. If this car becomes a reallity, expect to see it at your local Cyclo-cross events, road races and other awesome bike happenings.
