Selection Sunday

Here we are, just a couple hours away from finding out whose going to be dancin' and whose going to be packin' up until next year.  CBS is airing the selection show at 3pm, but ESPN will also be providing coverage through Sports Center.

Time to see if UConn or Memphis gets the number one seed, where Gonzaga falls, and which bubble teams will get a shot to mix-up the results in the big dance.  I'll be here on this blog posting as we find out the selections.

Miss. St. stole another bid this morning really making some tough decsisions for the selection panel.

 

2:31 pm   Championship week has officially ended!  Purdue has just won the Big Ten bid over Ohio State, and we are less than half an hour away from finding out the number one seeds.

3:02 pm   Selection is done!! We're looking at Louisville as the overall number one.  They will play in the Midwest region.

The second number one is Pittsburgh (they're first ever number one) playing in the East.

North Carolina will play in the South.

In the West UConn rounds out as the fourth overall number one seed.

3:15 pm  Midwest region is in:

In 2006, then-editor Steve Smith of The Spokesman-Review had the idea of starting a publication for an often forgotten audience: teenagers. The Vox Box was a continuation of the Vox, an all-student staffed newspaper published by The Spokesman-Review. High school student journalists who staffed the Vox made all content decisions as they learn about the trade of journalism. This blog's mission was to give students an opportunity to publish their voices.
