Wallace Blues Festival
July 12-13. Various blues artists and bands around town, inside and outside, playing afternoon and evenings. Features over 20 acts with headliners on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. with Bakin’ Phat, at 1 p.m. with Big Mumbo Blues Band, 3 p.m. with Seth Freeman; 5 p.m. with Nikki Hill; 7 p.m. with John Németh and 9 p.m. with Ian Siegal. Outdoor stages this year, one stage on Cedar Street where Kenny James Miller Band will play on Friday night 9-12AM. They will also play again Saturday twice in the early afternoon. Ray Roberson, BZ and Flores will play later on that stage also Saturday.
The other new stage will be added on 6th Avenue near The Smokehouse BBQ. This stage will feature Laffin’ Bones, Anita Royce & The Highrollers, Caden Davis, Robb Boatsman, Stacy Jones Band and Brother Music.
The Red Light Garage stage will again have performances by Sammy Eubanks on Friday night and Sammy will host the closing party at The Red Light Garage on Saturday night. During the day Saturday, Charlie Butts & The Filtertips, VooDoo Church and The Fat Tones will also perform at The Red Light Garage.
