“Teaching Men Not To Rape: The Cognitive Effects of Sexual Arousal”

Contemporary Issues in Feminist Research. Most colleges offer programs advising women on sexual assault prevention from a victim perspective, but few offer programs for men on how to avoid becoming a perpetrator of sexual assault. Casey Lytle, psychology faculty, will share information on how the cognitive and behavioral effects of sexual arousal can turn a friend into a rapist, and how awareness of these effects can prevent that line from being crossed.
