“Eclectic Cabaret” An Evening of Unexpected Musical Surprises
More than 20 stellar professional musicians gather to perform an exciting, diverse program of mostly-modern chamber music – cabaret-style. On the program: the Eclectic Cabaret Orchestra performing Darius Milhaud’s modernist jazz ballet masterpiece “The Creation of the World,” and teaming with pianist Greg Presley on George Gershwin’s jazz-inspired Concerto in F for piano and orchestra. Also, Michael and Keleren Millham offer American fingerstyle guitar, lush vocals and original song, seasoned cellist Kevin Hekmatpanah will perform, and the Cabaret String Quartet presents the world premieres of Gonzaga composer Kevin Waters’ latest works, “I Took the One Less Traveled By” and “Pater Noster” with baritone David Wolff. Sponsored by the Gonzaga University Music Department.
