Sept. 5 and 7. In this freewheeling comedy from writer and director Sebastian Silva, Michael Cera stars as Jamie, a shaggy, boorish young American jerk who meets a mysterious hippie, Crystal Fairy (Gaby Hoffmann) the night before he takes off to Chile. He embarks with his friend Champa (Juan Andres Silva), who speaks English, and Champa’s two brothers Lel and Pilo (Jose Miguel Silva and Agustin Silva), who don’t. All these Silvas are the real brothers of the writer-director, and the film is based on a journey he once took. Shows nightly at 7:30 p.m. Global Cinema Cafe series.
