“Chariots of Fire”

Two runners compete in the 1924 Paris Olympics with sharply different motives. One, a devout Protestant missionary, runs to please God; the other, a Jewish student at Cambridge, seeks fame and an escape from anti-Semitic prejudice. Based on fact, this inspiring movie won the 1981 Oscar for Best Picture. Rated PG. This movie is part of the series “Great Sports Films at the Library.”
