“Bread and Circuses – Exploring the Legacy of the ‘Real’ Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.”

Darryl Brice explores some of King’s lesser known speeches and writings on topics like the Vietnam War, creative maladjustment and poverty. He also looks at rarely acknowledged parts of King’s “I Have a Dream” speech that commented on racial and economic injustice. Brice is an instructor of sociology and diversity and globalism studies at Highline Community College. He has been at the college since 2003, and in 2008, he was recognized as HCC’s faculty member of the year.
