Phaed, the issue is being voted on tomorrow by Shoshone County residents. Only. I don't live there so I can't vote. Neither can DanG or Sharon Culbreth and Kathy Sims does not represent this county.
I do have an opinion because I was hired to present one. I moderated the meeting and expected questions from Shoshone County residents, the ones who would be making their voices heard, ultimately, when they mark their ballot tomorrow.
In the end, the discussion was lively, and civil (except for Sharon mocking nearly everything I said) and had a nice conversation with DanG afterward.
We'll see what happens tomorrow, when Shoshone County residents, and only Shoshone County residents, will decide the matter, which is as it should be.

Who is Ed Mezvinsky?

Ed Mezvinsky born Jan. 17, 1937, is a former Dem. Congressman.

As a Democrat he represented Iowas 1st. cong. Dist. in the U.S. house of Rep. for two terms in 1973 and 1977.

He sat on the judiciary committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon.

He and the Clintons were very politically intertwined. In March 2001 Mezvinsky was indicted and later pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 charges of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud. He was sentenced to 80 months in Federal Prison. He embelzeled more than 10 million dollars of peoples money via ponzi scheme in the notorious Nigerian e-mail scams.

After serving 5 years in federal prison he was released in 2008. He remained on federal probation thru 2011 and still owes his victimes 9.4 million in restitution.
