COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN — Sure, it's Monday. And nobody likes Mondays. But take some comfort in knowing you don't have to move into a new apartment today. And if you do, well, I can sympathize. Read on.

As I trudge back and forth from my apartment to my car, packing up boxes and trying not to slip and crack my head on the stairs, I can only hope that tomorrow will bring weather that will allow the U-Haul truck to get to and fro without issue. Good thing there are blizzard conditions forecast for today. … We don't have much news for you today, but Adam Lewis of Sportspress Northwest tweeted yesterday that WSU quarterback David Gilbertson, who was a fourth-year junior this season, plans to graduate in May and will not return to the team next season for his fifth year of eligibility. I don't expect that he'll be the only player to leave.

In Pac-12 football news … California has found its defensive coordinator. … A new attitude is paying off for an Oregon native playing for the Ducks. … Don't look for a change at offensive coordinator for USC. … Maybe his latest coaching hire will change Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn's luck. … Washington's coach is trying to make more great memories for its coach. It's been quite the trip for the Huskies' seniors. … More on Arizona's bowl win.

In Pac-12 basketball news … Oregon State beat Chicago State, 87-77. … Arizona won some wars against Florida. And that's about all we can find today.

Going to be preoccupied with the move for much of today, but we'll pass along news if it happens. Until then …
