Saturday’s tourney roundup

FROM SALT LAKE CITY — There isn't much to report on the WSU front today (unless you're talking about Wichita State, but you're not). So what follows is a small dose of Pac-12 links. They aren't happy ones, especially if you're a Ben Howland fan. Read on.

We do have one WSU link. It's a spring practice primer from CBS Sports. … We had a funny note in this story about Wichita State guard Cleanthony Early and his interest in Washington State.

Around the Pac-12 … UCLA's NCAA tournament "run" was more like a walk. Or a crawl. Really, the Bruins didn't leave the front porch in their 83-63 loss to No. 11 seed Minnesota, and now Ben Howland might be on his way out. But you've heard that before. … Colorado didn't fare much better, falling behind big against Illinois before losing 57-49. The Buffaloes aren't sure if they'll have Andre Roberson next season. … There are three more Pac-12 teams in action today. There's Oregon, which takes on No. 4 seed Saint Louis with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line (4:10 p.m., TBS). … And then there's California, another 12 seed, taking on No. 4 Syracuse. That game will be played in San Jose, where fans are teaming up to support both Pac-12 schools still playing there. … Here in Salt Lake, Arizona has a matchup against No. 14 Harvard, which has the Wildcats' attention after upsetting New Mexico. … Arizona State's season is over after an NIT loss to Baylor.

That's all for now.
