Coming up: Washington State Cougars

RECORD: 10-9, 1-5 in Pac-12

COMING UP: Saturday at Oregon State, 2 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks)

OUTLOOK: Frustration and encouragement were paired for WSU on Wednesday against Oregon, which defeated the Cougars 68-61 after WSU led by 10 at halftime. WSU did enough well to hang around against the No. 16 team in the country for about 35 minutes, but second-half struggles – missed 3-pointers, missed free throws, not enough rebounds – doomed it again. They head now to Corvallis, the only road locale in the conference that has been kind to them in recent years. WSU played at OSU twice last season and won both times – in the regular season and in the CBI.
