COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN — Lots to get to. So let's get right to it. Read on.

We have the usual for you in today's newspaper —  a game story, a notebook, a scoring summary and our keys to the game. We also have the unusual, with this story and blog post on the Marquess Wilson situation. In addition, we have postgame videos and a transcript of Mike Leach's comments, as well as a transcript of Dennis Simmons' comments, as well as our tale of the tape. John Blanchette has this column, as well. And Vince Grippi covered the basketball game for us last night, which went a little better than the football game. … Howie Stalwick has this story in the Kitsap Sun. … Bud Withers has a column in the Seattle Times. … Here are a couple stories from the UCLA perspective.

Elsewhere in the Pac-12 …

Arizona 56, Colorado 31 — An old record fell as Kadeem Carey rushed for 366 yards. Colorado still isn't very good.

USC 38, Arizona State 17 — The Trojans' defense answered the call in this one. But what happened to ASU's sputtering offense?

Washington 34, Utah 15 — The Huskies finally put together a complete effort to get bowl eligible. This was a step back for the Utes.

Stanford 27, Oregon State 23 — The Cardinal kept its Rose Bowl hopes alive. Stanford's new quarterback played just fine. OSU is left wondering what-if?

Oregon 59, California 17 — Cal hung around until it didn't. Oregon seems to make these late-game-pull-away jobs look easy, even through some injuries.
