Live chat, and another game day on the Palouse

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN — If the haze doesn't get any worse, there will definitely be a football game played in Pullman today. OK, so there's probably going to be one played no matter what. But it might not be too pleasant for the spectators. Read on for links and ponderings.

Saw a tweet yesterday from the Pullman Police Department, encouraging folks to stay inside due to the smoke from the fires in Wenatchee that has cast a haze over the city here. Can't say it's been too bothersome in the time I've been outside, but it certainly is noticeable. Still, a school spokesman said yesterday that postponement of the game wasn't a consideration when we spoke, but they were monitoring the situation and would handle it as need be. We also posted our pick 'em contest on the blog — very short notice, I know — so go ahead and jump on that if you haven't already. … Howie Stalwick has this preview of the game. … Bud Withers has a preview box in the Seattle Times. … Colorado has nowhere to go but up. … Lastly, as the headline says, we'll be holding a live chat during the game this week. It will begin at noon and end when the game ends. Feel free to stop by and converse.
