Cougs take off for the desert

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN — We'll be doing the same thing the headline details here in about 24 hours. But first, we have some news and links to share with you from the Palouse. Read on.

We had two items on the blog yesterday. First, there was this brief item about Gabe Marks' citation for exhibiting the effects of having consumed alcohol. Second, we had a recap of Ken Bone's press conference, which included an update on the status of Mike Ladd's injured left knee. … Howie Stalwick had this story with a note on Ladd, as well as this item on Marks. … CougCenter takes a very lengthy look inside the Air Raid playbook, focusing on reading the defense. … It sounds as if Tony Woods won't be suspended for the elbow he threw on Brock Motum on Saturday.

Around the Pac-12 … Arizona's coach is looking for more depth (and production). … California coach Mike Montgomery was reprimanded by the Pac-12 yesterday for his shove of Allen Crabbe. By the way, if you're wondering about the ramifications of a reprimand … well, there aren't any. … The health status of Colorado freshman Josh Scott has not changed since Saturday. … A Utah freshman answered the bell in a tough loss to Arizona. … E.J. Singler is now the winningest player in Oregon history (a somewhat surprising feat considering he's yet to be a part of an NCAA tournament team). … A football note: former USC quarterback Matt Barkley won't throw at the NFL Combine, though he'll still attend.
