Saturday morning links

From Pullman — Take a deep breath, make another pot of coffee. This is just the second out of three straight Saturdays you must endure without a Washington State University football game. I know, it's hard on me too. What to do with your Saturday? There are a few good games on this weekend (OK, just the Florida State-Miami game) or perhaps it's time to take a break. Instead of football, watch birds. Read a book rather than a box score. Or, if you're like me, there's nothing you'd rather do with your weekend than devour all the Pac-12 news you can find. But don't be too ravenous; you might get a tummy ache.

Come, friend. Links await after the jump.

The Cougars won their exhibition game against Central Washington today … But have some work to do on the gridiron … As if one Oregon wasn't enough … USC made short work of Oregon State … The Beavers' aerial attack has been grounded.

Arizona: The Wildcats can secure a bowl game … But they must stay focused.

Cal: The Golden Bears face a potent rushing attack … But don't expect them to change much.

Colorado: The beat up Bruins could provide the Buffaloes with a big opportunity.

Oregon: The Ducks return to the site of their last road loss.

Stanford: There's a cast of characters on the Cardinal offensive line.

UCLA: At least Noel Mazzone's pets like him.

Utah: A week off means it's time to hit the road for the Utah coaches.

Washington: It's a good time for the Huskies to take a week off.

Bonus Link: A special treat on this blasé college football Saturday. Because you've been good this week with nary a snarky comment nor untoward email, I present an article that will bring a tear to your eye unless you aren't human, or at least, a Mariners fan. After reading, watch this for extra goosebumps.
