Happy morning links for WSU

COUGARS

FROM LOS ANGELES — As I write this, Washington State is about 30 minutes away from its estimated arrival time of 3:20 a.m. in Pullman. Feel free to pass along any photos or updates if you met the team at Bohler. Until then, here are some of the more upbeat day-after links you've read in a while. Read on.

– We'll start with our game story, focusing on the historical significance of a WSU victory over USC.

– Here's our notebook, leading with news of Daquawn Brown's impressive performance in his first career start. (Also, Marqise Lee's longest punt return was 11 yards, not four, and there obviously was an additional kickoff in the fourth quarter. Most of this was written earlier in the game, and deadline demands led to that error not being updated. The errors are fixed online, but did run in the paper. Apologies.)

– Here are our keys to the game, as well as the scoring summary.

– There's a bunch of video on the blog, but you can probably find that on your own.

– Here's a column from Bud Withers, as well as his notebook.

– Here's Bill Plaschke's take on it all, as well as a game story from the LA Times.

– Here's the AP story.

Elsewhere in the Pac-12 …

Arizona 58, UNLV 13 — The Wildcats kicked the snot out of the Rebels thanks in part to the return of Ka'Deem Carey.

Utah 70, Weber State 7 — Not much needs to be said about this blowout.

Oregon 59, Virginia 10 — The Ducks were simply much better than Virginia, and it showed.

California 37, Portland State 30 — Not exactly the margin the Bears were looking for, but at least they won.

Stanford 34, San Jose State 13 — This one was an easy win for the Cardinal, which imposed its will on the Spartans.

Colorado 38, Central Arkansas 24 — Don't look now, but the Buffaloes are 2-0.

Oregon State 33, Hawaii 14 — The Beavers' defense bounced back.

That's all for now. Have a flight to catch.
