Hundley earns job as UCLA’s starting QB

UCLA coach Jim Mora has chosen redshirt freshman Brett Hundley to be the Bruins’ starting quarterback. The first-year coach made the announcement in a news release Friday. Hundley was competing with Kevin Prince, Richard Brehaut and Jerry Neuheisel for the starting job. Prince, a senior, has made the bulk of the starts at quarterback for the Bruins over the last three seasons. Former coach Rick Neuheisel recruited Hundley to UCLA out of Arizona. Hundley was one of the most highly touted quarterbacks in the country while at Chandler High School. Mora replaced Neuheisel after the Bruins went 6-7 last season. – AP
